Invitation by Sessions x SPEL
During a 6 month long residency at the State Gallery of Contemporary Art, the collective received funding to devise, write, produce and perform an original performance piece. Exploring techniques related to absurdism and slapstick as dramatic forms, and through experimental persona-building exercises, mixed media production of audiovisual material, set design and construction, the project contemplated the cultural impact of 2000s media stardom archetypes, as experienced through a queer fantasy dreamscape.
